It's a strange thing.... I grew up in Michigan where almost everyone says "POP" for most of my life... that's all but 4 years that I lived in Florida where my folks owned two restaurants in an area where everyone called it "COKE"..... ...however.... I call it "SODA" 100% of the time... as do my kids. |

Soda sounds gay. Pop it is baby! Nobody calls it soda around here unless you order a cream soda. The funny thing is that map only shows that people in southern California or the North East use soda other than a blip in the mid west. Clearly "pop" is the winner here! Next debate: sofa vs. couch? garbage vs. trash? |

Ah, but a lot of the country's population lives up in the North East... Thus, Soda>Pop |

Plus, California and the North East are just...better, and more important, than the rest of the country. So Soda > Pop. |

It's quite clear that EG and myself are the only normal ones here! Pop, couch and garbage are the only acceptable terms! soda :bash: pop Edited by Rudy, Sep 16 2008, 12:32 PM.

Does everyone here adhere to the graph then? I don't think Clay does since he says soda when he's in Michigan which was a "pop" state. |
