Does everyone here adhere to the graph then? I don't think Clay does since he says soda when he's in Michigan which was a "pop" state.
Nope...I say "soda" but grew up in Colorado and now live in Minnesota, both "pop" states. Since my parents came from the coasts (California and Jersey) I never heard "pop" in my house.

What's funny, is that in some of those states, the big population areas (Boise, another place I lived, for example) say "soda" while the rest of the state says something else. It's also very sad that the solid South has been bought and paid for by the Coca Cola Company. Seriously, I've never heard someone ask for a "Coke" unless they actually wanted Coca Cola.

Pop/Pops is a term for your father. Soda is what I use. There are lot of people here in WV that call it pop or coke though.

I think I picked up Soda from spending a ton of time in Cananda. My whole family says Pop except for me and my kids.

BTW - I'm also Sofa and Rubbish

I can only assume your time in Canada includes time in Windsor and other parts of southern Ontario. I never hear people use the word soda over here.

I live in the NW ("Pop" territory) and I call it soda.

However I grew up in Southern California and both my parents are Californian, so that's probably why I say that.
