Fake Id's, use your dead neighbor's voting rights, etc. It can be done! Hell, I voted 11 times one year :) |

See, that's crap when someone can vote 11 times. I honestly don't understand how the U.S. system can be so different in a federal election. You've got pencil votes, computers, chads, which can differ from state to state. How can anyone have faith in a system so inconsistent when it can be abused so easily? I'm sure it can be abused in Canada but we are all mailed voter registration forms (you can still vote without them with proper ID and proof of address). We go to our polling station and must produce picture ID (like a driver's licence or health card). Once we vote, our name is stricken from the list of eligible voters and we all do a pencil on a card ballot which is hand counted under supervision. No hanging chads or computers that can glitch. With picture ID being mandatory it's harder to vote more than once. Do you not have to produce picture ID when you vote to avoid fraud? |

Whoops! :Search: After remembering all that crap over the Bush-Gore election in Florida, I really hope this election doesn't come that close to where people need to worry about that stuff. I still don't know why you guys just don't use the overall votes to determine the president. The electoral college system just doesn't make much sense to me when someone could win the popular vote but lose the presidency. |
